Guided Nature Walk
Join a MTRP Trail Guide on a guided nature walk and learn about the plants, animals, geology, history, and ecology of the park. See the late blooming flowers, plants adapting to the dry season, animals and birds. You will hike one of these scenic trails: * The Visitor Center Loop highlighting coastal sage scrub, chaparral, and riparian woodland habitats and the riverside grinding rocks, one of the archaeological sites in the park. * The Oak Grove Loop showcasing majestic coast live oaks, rare Engelmann’s oaks, and a Kumeyaay ‘ewaa (hut).
