This is going to be so fun! Perfect weather forecast too. Who's doing group tailgate or everyone separate?
Amelia Vargas · Sep 30
I'm bringing my family but heads up - we're flying a Pride flag from our truck bed. Not looking for conflict but also not hiding it. Just a heads up in case that matters to people.
Carlos López · Sep 30
Love that @amelia.sings 🏳️🌈 See you there!
Luis Peña · Sep 30
This is a family event though? Why does everything have to be political?
Ramon Sanchez · Sep 30
@luis.pena.builder flying a flag representing your family isn't political, it's just existing. We'll be there too with our kids.
Sophie Brenner · Sep 30
Fall Festival is for EVERYONE. Honestly if anyone has a problem with people expressing who they are at a public community event, maybe don't come 🤷
Rizal Santos · Sep 30
Really excited to see the community show up as we all actually are. Going to be a great day!
Luis Peña · Sep 30
@ramon.coaches I just mean keep it family-friendly. That's not controversial.
Rafael Castillo · Sep 30
Can anyone confirm if there's parking near the field or should I come early? Don't want to circle for 30 mins.
Amelia Vargas · Sep 30
@rafa.castillo_chef Parking lot opens at 8am. I'd say arrive by 10am latest if you want a spot close to the entrance. Gets chaotic after that!

Can't wait for the Fall Festival Tailgate! Family fun for everyone 🍂
Patricia Reyes · 6d
This event needs better security measures. Too many homeless people from skid row congregating in family spaces these days.
Rizal Santos · 6d
@pattysol_sd Wow, characterizing unhoused neighbors as a threat? That's a bold statement to just say out loud.
Luis Peña · 6d
Actually, it IS a legitimate concern. Families shouldn't have to worry about their safety at community events because of inadequate city policy.
Amelia Vargas · 6d
@luis.pena.builder Nobody said families have safety issues. You're creating a problem that doesn't exist to justify your prejudice.
Philip Hughes · 6d
Both things can be true - we can care about unhoused folks AND want safer family events. Stop making it so black and white.
Carlos López · 6d
@p.hughes.beer 'Black and white' lmao. The bleeding hearts in this city have gotten completely out of control. OBVIOUSLY we need to address the homelessness crisis.
Rizal Santos · 6d
@carlitos_craft 'Address the crisis' - you mean push them somewhere else? That's just NIMBYism. The wealthy want them invisible, not helped.
Patricia Reyes · 6d
@rizal.sf THANK YOU. These people pretend to care but they just want to virtue signal. If they REALLY cared they'd accept a shelter in THEIR neighborhood.
Rizal Santos · 6d
@pattysol_sd Shelters ARE in every neighborhood. Poverty is systemic, not a personal failure. But sure, keep blaming poor people for being poor.
Kevin O'Brien · 6d
@rizal.sf @carlitos_craft I've seen you both commenting on everything housing-related for the last month. You should probably move to San Francisco if you love homelessness so much.
Carlos López · 6d
Yes! If you love chaos so much, why don't you move somewhere that shares your values? This city doesn't need your radical handwringing.
