This organization changed my life. Looking forward to the concert

Wait - is this the choir that takes homeless people? Why are we promoting that?
Daniel Cabrera · Oct 1
The Voices of Our City Choir does amazing work with people experiencing homelessness. They perform and build dignity. What's the issue?
Patricia Sánchez · Oct 1
The issue is that they're enabling homelessness instead of solving it. You can't just feel good about singers, you have to address ROOT CAUSES. This is virtue signaling, not actual help
Rosa Morales · Oct 1
The choir literally does both - they provide services AND performance opportunities. They treat people like humans, not problems. Why are you being so hostile about an art organization?
Patricia Sánchez · Oct 1
BECAUSE THESE PEOPLE DON'T BELONG ON MY STREETS. You PROGRESSIVES want to tolerate EVERYTHING and it's DESTROYING our city. Housing costs are insane and you want to just let vagrants camp everywhere?
Carmen López · Oct 1
@patsanchez_realtor 'these people' - wow. And you wonder why nobody takes your complaints seriously

Oh spare me the woke lecture. I'm DONE with people like you who want to look virtuous while regular people SUFFER. Maybe if the city spent LESS on homeless programs and MORE on housing development, we wouldn't have this problem
Alejandra Reyes · 6d
Homelessness is complex. The Voices of Our City does real work. If you care about housing costs, that's a separate policy conversation that has nothing to do with a choir benefit

It's all connected and you know it. This city has FAILED and instead of fixing it, you all just want to CELEBRATE the failure with concerts. It's disgusting. People like you should just LEAVE if you care more about homeless singers than actual residents

I'm just here because the music is beautiful. Can we appreciate that?
