Excited for this screening! The Lavender Scare is such an important documentary. Especially during Pride Month. See you there! 🏳️🌈

This is going to be powerful. Thanks @aisha.explores for bringing this to campus

I'm not sure I understand why we need a whole month for this. No one's persecuting gay people anymore, are they? This feels like overkill
Roberto Gutiérrez · 3d
@rosa.family.first That's... not accurate. LGBTQ+ people still face discrimination in employment, housing, and way more. This documentary covers actual historical persecution

Can we not do this here? Just come watch the documentary if you're interested. If not, don't come. This isn't the place for this debate

Thank you @sarah.th_ for saying something. We really don't need this performative argument every single time something LGBTQ+ related gets posted
Rosa Hernández · 3d
@rob.gutierrez.sd I'm not looking to debate, I just had a genuine question. And no, I don't think we need Pride Month anymore, that's my view

@rosa.family.first People were literally fired from government jobs for their sexuality in the 1950s. This month is about remembering that and celebrating how far we've come AND how far we still need to go

What time does it start? And is there free food?
